Curioso questo bozzetto firmato da Domenico Barzi, per i figurini dei costumi dei Rettori di Fraternita. Ancora oggi nelle occasioni solenni, come la commemorazione della fondazione dell’ente, festeggiata il 2 aprile, e la partecipazione alla Festa dei Ceri, che cade tradizionalmente nel primo sabato di gennaio, il Magistrato di Fraternita indossa la toga e il copricapo tradizionali, un tempo nei colori nero e cremisi (secondo il grado di ciascun rettore); la foggia fu rinnovata, come si legge nell’iscrizione nel 1858. Oggi l’abito cerimoniale è uguale per tutti i Rettori, in velluto rosso e bordi bianchi e oro.
Description
This drawing signed by Domenico Barzi is a preparatory sketch for the costumes of the Rectors of the Fraternity of Lay. Even today on solemn occasions, such as the commemoration of the Founding of the institution (celebrated the 2nd of April), or during the Celebration of the Candles (traditionally feast on the rst Saturday in January), the Magistrate of Fraternity of the Lay wears a traditional robe and hat in black and crimson or red and gold colors (according to the position of each Rector), renewed, as stated in the inscription, in 1858. Today the costume is the same for all Rectors: red velvet, with white borders and gold.
