Descrizione

I due ritratti dei granduchi di Toscana, Maria Luisa Amalia e Ferdinando III d’Austria, furono commissionati nel 1792 dai rettori della Fraternita dei Laici a Pietro Benvenuti per la Libreria della Fraternita. La realizzazione delle cornici con la corona granducale ornata da un ramo di quercia, simbolo di forza e stabilità, si deve a Francesco Mori e al figlio Donato.

Description

The two portraits of the Grand-Dukes of Tuscany Maria Luisa Amalia and Ferdinand III of Austria were commissioned in 1792 by the rectors of the Fraternity of Lay to Pietro Benvenuti, for the Fraternity’s Library. The frames with the grand ducal crown adorned by an oak branch (a symbol of strength and stability) are works by Francesco Mori and his son, Donatus.
